Our pasture raised Cornish Crosses come to us as day old chicks. They are tenderly cared for in a secure brooder receiving fresh clean water regularly and custom made organic feed secured from an Amish certified organic grain producer. After a few weeks, they are big enough to be moved into our very large chicken schooner (a mobile chicken tractor) out on pasture where they can search for bugs, bask in the sunshine, and live out the rest of their lives. They are moved every single day to new grass. Around 7-8 weeks of age they are big enough to process. This happens on farm and is a family affair. We strive to give our animals the best life possible with just one bad day; a quick and humane end where they give their lives to sustain ours.
