Our Story

We started out  in 2017 on a 40+ acre farm just a few miles down the road from our current location. In 2023 we sold that farm and purchased 83+ raw acres. We have since brought in power, put in a well and septic, a road, built a house, welcomed another baby, built a barn, saw our daughter married (the one holding the toddler in the picture), put in fencing, garden space, chicken coop, a 2.5 acre pond, and so much more. We have so many more big plans and hopes for this refuge of ours, but we are also now ready to get back to growing and raising food for others. We hope you'll partner with us as we strive to bring quality chicken from our family to yours!

Mountainside Refuge Farm is a family run homestead nestled against the mountain side in Rockwood, TN. Our heart's desire is to raise animals in a sustainable and organic way that brings honor to the animals, the land, and our Creator. We strive to allow the animals to be and do what they were intended to: eat grass, forage for bugs, enjoy the fresh air, and bask in the sunshine. They live their lives well and we end them humanely and cleanly right on farm. Raising our animals in this way allows us to provide delicious food with a high nutritional value. We work hard, together as a family - right down to the littlest farm boy and farm girl - to make this a reality for ourselves and offer it to others. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family meal. We hope our pasture raised chicken and home grown food sustains you and brings delight to your table!
